Police are searching for a motorcyclist who allegedly threatened to kill another driver and “stomped” on her car.
The incident, which police have described as an “aggressive exchange”, took place in New Park Street, Devizes, between 10am and 10.45am on July 27.
A man riding a motorbike was reportedly spotted talking on a mobile phone and was subsequently alerted to this by a vehicle behind him.
Officers say he then became “verbally and physically aggressive” and allegedly threatened to kill and assault the female driver of the car.
He is also believed to have reached into the vehicle to remove the keys from the ignition before reportedly throwing them over the car and stomping on the bonnet.
Police have been investigating the incident and are now appealing for anyone who witnessed it to come forward.
A spokesperson for the force said: “We are appealing for witnesses following an incident involving a car and a motorcyclist on New Park Street, Devizes.
“The registration for the bike is believed to start with CV12.
“If you saw what happened, or have dash cam footage, please contact us on 101 quoting reference number 54240087854.”
