Almost 200 residents living in a Wiltshire have been left without electricity as a power cut strikes their village.
177 homes in West Lavington, just south of Devizes, have been without power since 11am this morning due to a Scottish and Southern Electricity power cut.
The issue is affecting Lavington Lane, Sanfield, Eastfield, The Spinney and the High Street.
Costcutter, Littleton Panell Post Office and parts of Dauntsy School appear to be affected according to a map released by SSEN, however this has not been confirmed by the school or businesses themselves.
Homes in the SN10 area are most affected.
SSEN is aware of the issue and says the power cut is due to "reports of damage to the network by a third party."
A spokesperson said: "We are aware of a power cut in the area affecting 177 homes.
"Our local engineers are in the area working hard to get power restored as soon as possible.
"We have had reports of damage to the network by a third party which has in turn caused the power to go off.
"We know where the damage has taken place and our teams are working hard to make the situation safe, repair the damage, and get the power back on.
"These types of faults often require extensive work and specialist teams."
The electricity company had originally estimated that power would be restored by 3pm, however this time has passed and it now remains unclear when the power will come back on in West Lavington.
