A serious crash on the A345 in Wiltshire has seen two people taken to hospital after emergency services and air ambulances rushed to the scene.
The incident took place just after 3pm on Wednesday, July 31 on the A345 at West Chisenbury, between Enford and Upavon.
Police cars, fire engines, ambulances and an air ambulance were all called out to the scene which closed the A345 for more than five hours on Wednesday.
Initial eyewitness reports and photos from the scene suggested that a van and a car were involved in the crash, which has now been confirmed by the emergency services.

Two people have now been taken to Salisbury District Hospital, although the extent of their injuries is unknown.
"At 3.29pm yesterday we were called to a road traffic collision on the A345 at West Chisenbury," said a spokesperson for the Dorset & Wiltshire Fire Service.
"Two fire engines were mobilised from Amesbury and Trowbridge and on arrival found two vehicles involved, one car and one van.
"Firefighters assisted the ambulance service with casualty care and making the scene safe."
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service, added: "We sent two double-crewed land ambulances, an air ambulance, an operations officer, a doctor, and a responding officer to the scene.
"We conveyed two patients by land ambulances to Salisbury District Hospital.”
The A345 has now reopened as of Thursday morning (August 1).
