Marlborough travel agency named as finalist in Travel Industry Awards

The agency Travel By Hannah has grown from a small business created by Marlborough resident Hannah Porter in 2020 to a thriving High Street shop with over 300 operators to work alongside.

Led by Hannah, Milla, Billy and Lily from 16 High Street, the business has built a fanbase of loyal customers from across the UK and last year gained more than 100 five-star reviews.

The agency has been named Top South West Travel Agency for the past three years, and in 2024 was named Top UK Travel Agency and Touring and Adventure Specialists by TTG Media.

Now Hannah and her team are in the running for even more success, as they have been named finalists in the prestigious Travel Industry Awards.

"We're in an amazing industry that is also extremely competitive so it's always an honour to be recognised in such prestigious awards," Hannah told the Gazette and Herald.

"To come out of Covid and be achieving these things is great and helps not only with industry awareness but also reassures our customers that we are the best place to go to.

"We're a small team available online, on social media, over the phone and in person on the High Street, and we're just super thankful and humble to be finalists."

In the Top UK Travel Agency Award that took place in April 2024, judges described Hannah's company as "a very worthy winner of this prestigious title".

“This business may only be three years old but it promises such spectacular service you’d think it had been around for 30," said judges for the award.

"The agency’s more than 100 five-star reviews on Trustpilot are a testament to this, with its team never hesitating to jump into action, from arranging special surprises for the personal touch to saving the day in a crisis."

The Travel Industry Awards, for which the Marlborough company is a finalist in, will take place in London later this year, and the results are expected to be announced in September.
