A car fitted with probation plates crashed head-on into a house in Marlborough today, July 23.
At around 11am police responded to the crash on George Lane, with a fire crew attending shortly afterwards.
The silver car was displaying ‘P’ plates, optional signifiers of probationary drivers who have recently passed their test.
The driver suffered minor injuries, and no arrests were made.
They said: "She came down the St Margaret's Mead. Instead of going with the bend, she went straight over the curb nearly hitting a pylon and into the housing parking area.
"Anyone at the bus stop would have been hit.”
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “At around 11am today we responded to an RTC in George Lane, Marlborough, after a vehicle collided with a house.

“The driver, a woman in her 40s, suffered reportedly minor injuries.
“No arrests were made.”
A Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: "At 11.17 am, a crew from Pewsey was called to George Lane where a car had collided with an end-terraced property.
"The driver had got themselves out of the vehicle, so firefighters are maintaining scene safety while a structural engineer checks the building."
