A motorcyclist was seriously injured during a crash in Wiltshire.

Police have provided an update on an incident near Summerdown Farm, at Everleigh, on Friday, July 19.

At around 1.30pm officers responded to a crash in the area between a motorcycle and a car.

The female biker suffered a serious leg injury during the incident and was rushed to Southmead Hospital in Bristol.

Officers initially launched a probe into the incident and issued a statement urging any witnesses to come forward.

But they have since confirmed that the case has been closed and no further action will be taken.

A spokesperson for the force said: “We attended a collision near Summerdown Farm, Everleigh, shortly after 1.30pm on Friday involving a motorcyclist and a car.

“The female motorcyclist has sustained a serious leg injury and has been taken to Southmead Hospital.

“Any witnesses should call 101 and quote log number 163 of July 19.”
