A Wiltshire cafe has been targeted by vandals during an alleged graffiti spree across a town.
Police have launched a probe into a spate of graffiti incidents in Royal Wootton Bassett which has included several targets.
Among these was the back door of The Little Gem, an independent plant-based cafe on Sparrow Lane.
A bin at Poets Park and a new bench in Sparrow Lane have also been tagged, say police.
Officers say the offences are “not acceptable” and contribute to damage that will cost thousands of pounds to remove during the year.
An investigation remains ongoing and police have urged any witnesses to come forward.
A spokesperson for the force said: “We are currently investigating a series of criminal damage which has happened between July 12 and July 15 in Royal Wootton Bassett.
“If you recognise these tags or know who is responsible, please report directly to the Royal Wootton Bassett Neighbourhoods Team quoting reference 54240083400.
“This kind of behaviour is not acceptable, and costs the town council thousands of pounds a year to remove.
“If this was you, please carefully consider your actions next time. Enquiries are ongoing.”
