I THOUGHT we played really well in the 1-1 draw at Hereford last Friday night.
It was probably one of our best performances of the season and is right up there with the opening game.
We looked solid at the back and were on course to win until they scored a really flukey goal.
I felt we were very unlucky on the night. I got on for the last few minutes but you can't really complain when the lads played as well as they did.
One player who people are starting to take notice of is Mark Marshall.
He came on and very well again, as he has done in other games recently.
Teams are doubling up on Anthony McNamee so Marshall is a big outlook for us because he is virtually the same player.
He looks like he can change games and he is one to keep an eye on.
I didn't play in the reserves' 2-0 win against Yeovil on Tuesday night because there are people in the squad who need games more than I do at the moment.
Big Barry Corr is one of them and he was pleased to get on the score sheet again.
He feels he is ready to play a part in the first team now so he is pushing hard for a place on the bench. I don't feel under pressure though because every team I've been at has had a couple of strikers on the bench, and I can play in a few positions.
We're all itching to be involved in the Leeds game this Saturday -these are generally the games we get up for.
Everyone is looking at it as a cup final, because they are arguably the biggest team in the league.
Leeds are supposedly bringing 3,500 fans so we're looking at a crowd of around 14,000, which would be brilliant.
The lads played golf on our day off yesterday but the situation with my back meant I couldn't go.
I actually got my back injury from playing golf for the first time in ages last year, I twisted it and slipped a disc and I still haven't fully recovered. I had injections on it a couple of weeks ago because I was really struggling -I had pain shooting down my legs.
I need an operation on it but I'd love to put it off until the end of the season.
There's talk I could be out for three months if I have the op but it could even be longer because when they are sorting out the slipped disc it might flare up the other problems I've got in that area.
The gaffer says it's my body and it's up to me, but he doesn't want me to miss the end of the season either.
But if it gets worse, like it was a few weeks ago, it's difficult to see how I could go on for long.
You can't relax because the next ball you kick might give you a shooting pain.
