A power cut has hit more than 250 homes on the Wiltshire/Berkshire border.
The power cut, located on the county border between Marlborough and Berkshire, was first reported at 9.55am on Thursday, July 11, 2024 and is affecting 268 SSEN customers.
This includes 53 postcode areas, the majority of which are in the RG17 area just slightly north of Hungerford.
This includes houses in Whittonditch, Eastridge, Crooked Soley and Chilton Foliat.
According to SSEN, this power cut is due to a fault in the overhead network and engineers are on their way to the site, with power expected to be restored by 1pm.
"This fault is affecting a large area and it's likely several streets in your area are affected by the same power cut," said a spokesperson for SSEN.
"We have engineers on the way and once they arrive they will get straight to work on investigating the fault and attempting to restore power.
"The cause of this power cut is a fault on our overhead network, which is the most common type of fault we see and our teams are very experienced with dealing with these issues."
