Police have arrested four individuals after a fight broke out in a Wiltshire town.
Officers from Wiltshire Police were called to the Wood Street and High Street area of Calne at approximately 11pm on Saturday, June 29.
CCTV operators were the first to alert police after they noticed the brawl begin to break out in the town centre, and four people have now been arrested following the disorder.
Three men, aged 20, 26 and 36, and a 28-year-old woman were all arrested on suspicion of affray and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
It currently remains unclear what caused the fight to start, but Wiltshire Police have made it clear that the behaviour will not be tolerated.
“Incidents of this nature cast a really negative impression of a town that works so hard to build a strong community and safe environment for those that live, work and socialise there," said Sergeant Mike Tripp.
“This behaviour by a small number of individuals will not be tolerated and an investigation is ongoing. Anyone who witnessed the disorder is urged to get in touch to help with our enquiries.”
