A Wiltshire-based energy company with ambitious plans for sustainability is celebrating its 10th birthday and an exciting nomination.
SMARTech, an energy management and reduction specialist company in Chippenham, was first founded by Stuart Pearce in 2014 who had dreams of transforming how businesses do sustainability.
Over the past decade, those dreams have turned into a reality as the company has achieved energy reduction targets of 15 to 33 per cent across various commercial sectors, from manufacturing to hotel and leisure sites.
Ten years on, and SMARTech has now been shortlisted as a finalist for the Energy Efficient Partnership of the Year award - which is about as good as a birthday present can get.
After 10 successful years working out of Rowan House on the Sheldon Business Park in Chippenham, Stuart says he now hopes to celebrate many more years to come.
“This month marks our 10th anniversary in business and this nomination recognises the significant energy-saving results we have achieved by partnering with our clients through the Energy Efficiency as a Service (EEaaS) programme to achieve cost efficiency, energy security and environmental goals," said Managing Director Stuart.
“I have enormous pride in the company’s achievements over the past 10 years.
"This is a significant milestone for the company and the efficiency gains which my team at SMARTech energy has delivered will have a lasting long-term impact on our clients in their bid to tackle climate change and improve financial sustainability.
"We are very much looking forward to celebrating with all of the distinguished list of nominees, who share our passion and expertise to help organisations across the UK to tackle climate change by reducing energy consumption, and carbon emissions."
Armed with a background in the British Military and having worked as a mechanical engineer, Stuart's ambitious sustainability and financial goals for organisations have also achieved him nationwide recognition from the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses UK Programme 2017.
SMARTech now has several prominent brands from across the UK as clients including Apetito, Retrac, Herman Miller and the Activate Learning Education Trust.
When asked how they'd be celebrating the big birthday and exciting nomination, Stuart said: "A team-building fun day at Team Pursuits in Lacock, Wiltshire, reinforcing the collaborative spirit that has driven the company’s success."
