A cafe in the centre of Devizes has announced its closure and final day of trading.

Staff at the Times Square in The Market Place said they are “proud” of the eight years in operation, but today, Thursday, June 27 will be their last day.

Cafe staff did not want to comment at this time, but shared some of the challenges and highlights on their social media.

A post reads: “We are proud of all the trying, testing and sometimes failing we have been brave enough to attempt. Also the adaptions we have made due to obstacles like a global pandemic.

“It’s not always been easy but we have enjoyed serving Devizes a variety of different food, with all produce supplied locally!”

The cafe closed its kitchen last month, which served food popular with customers giving the venue good reviews.

They praised the breakfast, with “homemade goodies” and “great quality ingredients and products”, all for a reasonable price.

Another wrote: “A lovely little spot, friendly and great for a quick swing by for coffee, lunch and a cake.”

Customers shared messages with the cafe, saying: “So sad. Your hot chocolate was by far the best of anywhere. Good luck for your future.”
