Full details have been released ahead of a music festival that attracts tens of thousands of revellers to Wiltshire each year.
The organisers of WOMAD 2024 are gearing up ahead of the annual festival, held at Charlton Park on the outskirts of Malmesbury, with around a month to go.
This year the event will take place from Thursday, July 25, until Sunday, July 28, and will see acts of all genres take to the stage, including reggae, hip-hop, punk rock, and R&B.
Some of this year’s most anticipated acts include progressive hip-hop trio Young Fathers, who are making their WOMAD debut, and Sampa the Great, regarded as one of southern Africa’s greatest hip hop heroes.
They will be joined by dance icon Alison Goldfrapp and Sicily-born reggae superstar Alborosie, who will kick off the festival on the opening day.
As well as music, festival-goers will be treated to talks and conversations with authors at World of Words, spoken word poetry at the Hip Yak Poetry Shack, luxury at the WOMAD spa, and culinary adventure at the Taste the World stage.
Tickets remain on sale for £260 for all four days, £210 for three days, and a range of other packages.
Children under 13 can enter for free but still need a ticket.
