A Wiltshire business is “delighted” after being awarded a Royal Warrant to supply products to King Charles III.
John Miller Garden Machinery was awarded its first warrant to provide goods to the royal households in Wiltshire in 1990.
The firm, based on Bath Road in Chippenham, recently had its warrant renewed and will continue to serve the Royal Family, supplying a range of garden equipment.
Managing director Steve Miller told this paper the announcement was hugely important for boosting the company’s reputation.
He said: “It’s very important because it always feels like a stamp of approval on what you’re doing, if we’re good enough for the king we’re probably good enough for most people.
“They’re not our biggest customer, but they’re probably our most important because it really helps promote what we do.
“We’re a small family business, it’s dad, mum, son, and a handful of staff, so this sets us apart.”
Before being awarded a Royal Warrant, the company was inspected on a range of criteria, including its environmental and community impact, as part of a “rigorous” selection process.
Mr Miller added: “We’re really proud to do that work for them, a lot of work goes into it so this is the icing on the cake.”
