A pensioner was rushed to hospital after he was reportedly struck by a van in Wiltshire.

Emergency services were deployed to Broadfields in Pewsey shortly after noon on Friday, June 14, after reports that a van had crashed into a pedestrian.

This pedestrian, a man in his 90s, was taken to hospital for treatment after suffering injuries that were not thought to be life changing.

The van driver stopped at the scene and police say no arrests were made following the incident.

A spokesperson for the force added: “At around 12.20pm on Friday (June 14) we responded to a report that a van had been involved in a collision with a pedestrian in Broadfields, Pewsey.

“The pedestrian, a man in his 90s, suffered injuries which are not thought to be life changing and was taken to hospital for treatment.

“The driver stopped at the scene. No arrests were made.”
