A Wiltshire preschool has been upgraded to ‘Outstanding’ following a recent Ofsted inspection.
All Cannings Preschool in Devizes was visited by Ofsted inspectors on April 23, at The Street, nearly six years after their previous visit, when the service was rated ‘Good’.
The preschool has now been handed an improved rating of ‘Outstanding’ following this inspection.
Inspectors found that staff were “exceptional” and created a “nurturing and inclusive learning environment.”
Manager Nicky Cowdry was also praised in the report, with inspectors describing her as “highly dedicated” and in charge of a “passionate team.”
She said: “We are incredibly proud of the Ofsted report.
“It is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the staff who work tirelessly to create a nurturing and stimulating environment in which all our children are valued and can flourish.”
The preschool was evaluated on in four areas, including quality of education, behaviour, personal development, and leadership.
It was found to be ‘Outstanding’ in all these categories.
The positive Ofsted result coincides with the preschool’s 50th anniversary and a family barn dance will be held to celebrate.
A ‘memories’ booklet will be compiled to mark the anniversary this autumn and ex-staff, volunteers, parents and children have been asked to participate by sharing their memories with secretary@allcanningspreschool.co.uk.
