The following cases were heard at magistrates courts in Swindon and Salisbury.

TROWBRIDGE: On Friday, May 31, Kazimierz Przybylski, of Barn Glebe,  was sentenced for two counts of assault.

The 28-year-old pleaded guilty to two counts of assault by beating which both took place in Trowbridge on March 15 of this year.

He was fined £40 and ordered to pay £85 in costs and a £16 surcharge.

Przybylski was also slapped with a restraining order preventing him from contacting one of the victims directly or indirectly.

MELKSHAM: On Friday, May 31, Shelley Keith, of Goldfinch Road, was sentenced for assaulting an emergency worker.

The 55-year-old pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer by beating him while he was exercising his functions as an emergency worker, in Melksham on May 10.

She also pleaded guilty to a separate charge of using threatening or abusive words, likely to cause harassment, alarm, or distress, in Melksham on the same date.

Keith was given an 18-month community order which will involve six months of alcohol treatment through Turning Point, 12 rehabilitation sessions, and a year of mental health treatment.

CORTON: On Friday, May 31, Jenna Williams, of Coomb View, was sentenced for driving a motor vehicle while above the legal alcohol level.

The 35-year-old pleaded guilty to driving on Fore Street in Warminster after consuming so much alcohol that her breathalyser test was 55 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

She was disqualified from driving for 12 months, reduced by three months if a course is completed by December 28 this year, and fined £67.

CHIPPENHAM: On Thursday, May 30, Phillip Dance, of Southmead, was sentenced for sending communication threatening death or serious harm.

The 24-year-old pleaded guilty to sending a message threatening to rape and murder a woman, intending or being reckless as to whether the receiver would fear the threat would be carried out, in Swindon, on March 6.

He was fined £80 and ordered to pay £85 in costs and a £32 surcharge by June 27.

MARLBOROUGH: On Thursday, May 30, Simon Need, of Purlyn Acre, was sentenced for possession of a Class B drug.

The 51-year-old pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis or cannabis resin in Marlborough on June 8 last year.

He was fined £80 and the drugs were forfeited and destroyed.

Need was also ordered to pay £85 in costs and a £32 surcharge.

BRADFORD ON AVON: On Friday, May 31, Daniel Cavender, of Church Street, was sentenced for driving a motor vehicle on a road or public place while disqualified and without insurance.

The 49-year-old pleaded guilty to both counts after driving a Vauxhall car at Fleming Way Car Park in Swindon, on June 21 last year, while banned from holding or obtaining a driving licence.

The car was also uninsured during the incident.

He was given six penalty points on his licence and disqualified from driving for 12 months starting from May 1.

DEVIZES: On Wednesday, May 29, Lawrence Elango, of Green Lane Hospital on Marshall Road, was sentenced for assaulting an emergency worker.

The 36-year-old pleaded guilty to assaulting a Police Constable by beating her in Swindon on February 2.

He was ordered to pay £60 in compensation.
