A popular former cafe located in a Wiltshire Market Place is set to go under the hammer at an auction this month.
The former Jolly’s Irish Cafe building in Chippenham Market Place is scheduled to go up for auction at 8.45am on Wednesday, June 26, despite appearing to have been sold earlier this year.
A sign advertising that the property had been “sold” was erected at the premises several months after it was marketed by estate agent Huw Thomas Commercial in October, 2023.
Now the unit has been listed as part of an auction being held by Auction House London, Hampstead, later this month.

The former cafe, which has been vacant since it was closed in March last year, has been slapped with a guide price of £60,000.
Prior to its closure, the business had successfully traded for 20 years and was a much-loved venue for many Chippenham residents.
Numerous online reviewers recognised Jolly’s as the home of the “best breakfast in Chippenham”.
As well as the ground floor retail space, the property also includes living space split over two levels.
This includes a reception room, kitchen, bathroom, and two bedrooms.
