A Closure on one of Cirencester's busiest roundabouts has been lifted after work was completed.

In March Gloucestershire County Council put up cones to stop motorists from driving on the Gloucester bound lane on the A429 Kingsmeadow Roundabout in Cirencester because a leak had damaged the road surface.

Investigation work into this issue started on Monday, March 18.

On social media, Gloucestershire Roads posted: "Construction works have been completed and the roundabout and roads have now been fully reopened.

"The crew thank everyone for their patience and support during this time."

On its website, Gloucestershire County Council added: "Now that the roundabout has reopened, we will be undertaking grass cutting along the highway verges and this will include the roundabout.

"These works will occur under traffic management and the roundabout will remain open whilst these works are undertaken.

"As we receive further information we will post updates here. "
