Emergency services rushed to a small town in Wiltshire on Friday after reports of a stabbing.

Wiltshire Police officers were called to an address in Rendells Court in Devizes at around 3.30pm on Friday, May 31, after reports that a man had been stabbed.

Land and air ambulances are also believed to have attended the scene of the knife attack, and a man in his 30s was rushed to Great Western Hospital.

However, Wiltshire Police said his injuries “are not believed to be serious”.

A separate man also in his 30s was arrested on Saturday morning in connection to the alleged stabbing and he is being held in custody in Gloucestershire while enquiries are carried out.

The identity of the suspect has not yet been confirmed, but Wiltshire Police and the South Western Ambulance Service have been contacted for more information regarding the incident.
