Two men have been released on bail after they were arrested for drug-related offences during a police raid in Calne.

Officers from the local Neighbourhood Policing Team arrived at a house in Calne on Wednesday, May 29 after they had been left to believe that Class A drugs were hidden in the property.

The exact address of the property has not been revealed, but officers say they attended to execute a warrant under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act.

Two men were arrested at the scene on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.

However, both men have now been bailed while enquiries continue.

“It is incredibly important that members of the public continue to report concerns for drug dealing in the area," said PC Wright, of Wiltshire Police.

"As local neighbourhood police officers we are dedicated to making the area as safe as possible and the support of the local community by providing information is key to the success in achieving this."

The Neighbourhood Officers say they will continue to work hard in the local area to develop intelligence, disrupt and deal with offences robustly.
