A Wiltshire family will open an independent town centre cafe after taking over a former bar.

Mandi Mann and her parents Barb and Ray have lived in Devizes since 2007 and operated a successful cafe business in Hungerford in recent years.

They’ve now closed this business and taken over a unit on Snuff Street, in their hometown, where The Snuffbox bar traded until it shut its doors last Christmas.

The family plans to open Cosy Cafe at the unit next month, following an ongoing refurbishment to “brighten up” the premises.

Mandi said they are “very excited” to bring a new independent business to their town.

She added: “People will say it’s just another coffee shop, but we live in Devizes and can’t wait to bring our business home.

“We had a really successful cafe, where our customers were like a family, but we’ve been looking for something closer for two years.

“We’re a small family team who have run a successful business, where we were renowned for interacting with customers, and we just want to bring that to our own town.”

Cosy Cafe will serve a range of hot food, cakes, and drinks.

It is hoped the venue will open on Monday, June 10, but this is subject to change depending on the progress of the renovation.
