A “magnificent” Wiltshire country house has been put on the market for £12 million after an extensive refurbishment.
The current owners of Ladywood House, an Edwardian-era country house located between Malmesbury and the M4, have carried out a significant programme of updates and improvements since 2018.
This has included completely rewiring and replumbing the 119-year-old property, as well as installing a new kitchen and bathrooms.
Now their 25-year tenure at the property looks set to come to an end, with the house up for sale for an eye-watering price.
The unlisted building is described by estate agent Savills as a “magnificent country house with stylish bohemian interiors".
The revamped house includes six bedrooms and four bathrooms.
It sits within 61 acres of land that also boasts a three-bedroom lodge, a swimming pool and pool house, and extensive equestrian facilities.
These facilities include a polo yard and polo arena, a dressage arena, and a stable barn.
The large gardens were recently reinvented by award-winning designers Julian and Isabel Bannerman and house vistas, wildflower meadows, outside rooms, entertaining spaces, an orchard, and tennis courts.
