A man who will stand trial accused of attempting to murder a woman in her 30s in Calne has appeared in court.
Martin Cundliffe, of Lawrence Drive, in Calne, appeared at Swindon Crown Court via a video link on Friday, May 10 for a pre-trial review hearing.
The 62-year-old has been charged with attempted murder following an incident that took place at 1.30pm on Saturday, December 2, last year.
It left a woman in her 30s in hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries. It is understood that she had been stabbed.
Cundliffe has previously pleaded guilty to a section 18 offence of causing grievous bodily harm but denies the attempted murder charge.
A trial is expected to start on Monday, June 3 and last two to three days.
