A “thriving” village pub in Wiltshire is set to reopen under new landlords after a brief closure.
The Raven Inn, in Poulshot near Devizes, is due to reopen under new leadership on Monday, May 13, after its previous landlords departed on Friday, May 3.
The Hues family had run the venue since July 2021 but have now poured their last pints in the pub.
It was scheduled to close after their final night in charge to allow them to prepare the property for the handover ahead of reopening.
Posting on Facebook ahead of the closure, they said: “As we're sure you're aware, our time at The Raven is coming to an end but we are delighted to be handing the pub over to Louise and Martin Trusler.”
The Hues family told customers they were happy they had kept the pub open and successful during their period at the helm.

The post continues: “We would like to thank you all for being such good supporters of the pub throughout our tenure, which we took on during a period of uncertainty with Covid restrictions presenting many challenges.
“We've tried our best to make sure it remained a central part of the village community and most importantly, stayed open.
“We take great delight in being able to hand over a pub that is not only open but thriving. Our village without The Raven just wouldn't be the same.
“We would like to also thank the staff, who have given us their time, dedication, and hard work, without which none of it would have been possible.”
It is expected the pub will remain shut for just 10 days before reopening under new management.
The post adds: “We're sure you will join us in wishing Louise and Martin every success and give them the support that they deserve.
“We now look forward to being on the other side of the bar. Thank you again, the Hues family.”
The Raven Inn, on Poulshot Road, is described as a “traditional English pub” that serves cask ales and a fresh, modern food menu.
Residents have thanked the Hues family for running the pub by responding to the Facebook post.
