The Telegraph has determined the 48 ‘poshest’ villages in the UK and one area in Wiltshire made the cut.
As well as house prices, experts took into account the ease of commuting, aesthetic appeal and access to quality shops, pubs and restaurants.
The lah-de-dah lifestyle is a luxury few of us will seldom savour and at just under a million-pound average house price, you can surely see why.

Shalbourne
Average house price: £921,876
Their review reads: "Set in the North Wessex Downs, Shalbourne is a picturesque shire village. Pleasant Saturday afternoons are spent either watching a game of cricket at the village square or in the local, The Plough.
"Community is at the very heart of this village. As well as the cricket club, there's a tennis club, gardening and environment groups and even a theatre club, which arranges visits to local theatres.
"There's also a 12th-century church, and thatched-roof houses which date back to the Elizabethan era."
