Bikers have been issued urgent advice from Wiltshire Police after a spate of motorbike thefts.
On March 28, 2024, one moped was reported as stolen from Brunel Close, and Wiltshire Police have been unable to catch the culprit.
But according to police, this is only one of several motorbike and moped thefts in the Corsham area.
"There have been a number of incidents over the last week where there have been attempts to steal, and a number where they have been successfully stolen," said a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police.
"We will be canvassing CCTV in the area so if we could ask those who have doorbell cameras and CCTV to check overnight on that date.
"If any residents find anything on their cameras then please email ChippenhamareaNPT@wiltshire.police.uk quoting the crime reference number 54240023913."
The police force has now issued urgent advice to all motorbike owners in an effort to prevent more thefts from occurring including locks have the Sold Secure rating on it as well as a thick heavy chain for the back wheel and installing trackers.
