Police are continuing to probe after two masked men allegedly entered an elderly Wiltshire man’s home during a daylight burglary.

The incident, which officers are treating as an aggravated burglary, reportedly happened in White Lion Park, Malmesbury, between 9.45am and 11.10am on February 22.

Two men, wearing face coverings, allegedly entered an elderly man’s property while he was home alone.

Nothing is believed to have been stolen.

Wiltshire Police’s Burglary Team launched an extensive investigation to find those responsible.

Det Sgt Ted Roe said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area between these times.

“Officers have been conducting house-to-house enquiries in the area, but we’d urge anyone with doorbell footage or dash cam which may be relevant to get in touch immediately.”

The investigation remains ongoing, and locals have been warned to expect an increased police presence in the area.

Insp Gareth Edwards added: “Residents can expect an increased police presence in the area while we go about our enquiries over the next couple of days – do not be alarmed by this.

“If you have any information please approach an officer.”
