Police are investigating an alleged aggravated burglary on a residential street in Wiltshire.
Officers were called to White Lion Park in Malmesbury following reports of an aggravated burglary at an address in the area between 9.45am and 11am on Thursday, February 22.
An aggravated burglary is defined as a burglary committed while the offender was in possession of any firearm, imitation firearm, weapon of offence, or explosive.
Police have been carrying out house-to-house enquiries following the incident and remain in the early stages of their investigation.
Anybody who witnessed the alleged burglary or saw anything suspicious has been urged to contact the force.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “Officers are investigating reports of an aggravated burglary in White Lion Park, Malmesbury.
“We are in the early stages of this investigation and are currently carrying out our house-to-house enquiries.
“If anyone saw anything suspicious around 9.45am to 11.10am this morning, or has doorbell/CCTV footage that could help with our enquiries, please contact us on 101 quoting log number 97 of today's date (February 22).
“Alternatively, you can contact us through our website.”
