The “largest and most distinctive shop” on a Wiltshire High Street is on the market for nearly £1 million.
A former Knees Home and Electrical shop on Malmesbury High Street is up for sale for a guide price of £895,000.
The prominent town centre building previously housed the furniture showroom on the first floor, but the branch closed in May of this year.
Brockhurst Property Management has since listed the building, much of which has been gutted, for sale on Rightmove.
A listing on the property website describes the building as being in a “primary trading position” in the town, and as being one of the most distinctive locations in the High Street.
It added: “17 High Street has, without doubt, the largest and most distinctive shop front in the High Street, is located in a prime trading position and is close to the town centre short-stay car park.
“The property is situated in a primary trading position in the main shopping street.”
The ground floor retail space boasts an “impressive plate glass shop front” and also contains a staff room, kitchen, and cloakroom.
On the second floor are several former individual offices and meeting rooms, which are all now vacant.
