A teenager has been charged in connection with a stabbing in Wiltshire after a 15-year-old boy was hospitalised.
Shortly after 3pm on Tuesday, November 7, the boy was stabbed during an incident near the end of Isbury Road in Marlborough, and suffered what was described as a minor injury.
A 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has now been arrested and charged in connection to the incident.
He has been charged with two counts of grievous bodily harm with intent, and possession of a bladed article, and has been remanded in custody.
The second charge is in relation to an alleged serious assault in Royal Wootton Bassett on September 7.
The suspect was due to appear in Swindon Magistrates Court on the morning of Monday, November 20.
Local Inspector Ben Huggins said: “We appreciate the community concern that the incident in Marlborough has caused and officers have been working tirelessly to pursue multiple lines of enquiry since.
“I can confirm that in the early hours of Monday morning, we arrested a 17-year-old boy in connection with it and he has since been charged and remanded into custody.
“Thank you to the local community for your patience and support while we dealt with this incident.”
Note: This story has been updated after Wiltshire Police corrected their statement to say that the second assault, in Royal Wotton Bassett, was a "serious assault" and not a stabbing.
