A Wiltshire venue has been named the best countryside hotel in the UK at a national awards ceremony.
Lucknam Park Hotel and Spa, near Colerne in Wiltshire, scooped the top prize in the Best Countryside Hotel category at the 2024 edition of the annual Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence.
The ceremony, which recognises the achievements of hotels around the world, including 24 UK categories, was held in London on November 6.
This comes after the venue won Best Hotel Spa in 2023 and Best for Families in 2022.
The hotel, a Palladian mansion located on a private estate spanning hundreds of acres, was praised for giving customers a taste of “the high life.”
Judges were wowed by the “fine cuisine” served at the hotel, with the venue boasting both a restaurant and a “stylish Brasserie’.”
Restaurant Hywel Jones regularly attracts big crowds to try Michelin-starred dishes while the Brassiere houses an open kitchen and wood-fired oven.
They also recognised Lucknam Park’s award-winning spa, which was described as the best place to relax after “all this indulgence.”
Also on offer at the hotel are 42 suites and bedrooms as well as seven self-catering cottages that accommodate up to eight guests.
