More flooding in Wiltshire has left one family stranded in flood waters for five hours.
The family of four, including a two-year-old child, spent five and a half hours in total stuck in flood waters which were more than three feet deep on Thursday, November 9, 2023.
According to police officers at the scene in Erlestoke, just outside Devizes, the family's six-year-old BMW X3 may well be destroyed.
These recent floods come after heavy rainfall continues to hit the county in the aftermath of Storm Babet and Storm Ciaran last month.
"Wiltshire has experienced excessive rainfall over the past 18 hours which has resulted in many roads being flooded," warned a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police.
"If you see a flooded road, don't chance it and seek an alternative route if there is one.
"Please also drive to the road conditions, headlights on and reduced speed."
