A 'multi-charity' card and gift shop has set up shop in Marlborough.
With the season almost upon us and the cost-of-living crisis continuing to impact UK households, Christmas shopping can be a stressful time this year.
But the charity Cards For Good Causes hopes they can help spread some festive cheer with their pop-up Christmas shop in Marlborough.
Based in St Peter’s Church from November 1, 2023, the shop offers greeting cards, advent calendars, decorations, wrapping paper and gifts galore.
With the help of local volunteers, the Marlborough pop-up hopes to be able to stock something for everyone this Christmas, as well as give back to the local community.
Cards For Good Causes has opened shops around the UK each year since 1959, and raised over £40 million for local and national charities in the last decade alone.
Over 70 charities will be supported by the money raised this year, including the Terrence Higgins Trust, Cancer Research UK, Diabetes UK, NSPCC, Epilepsy Action, Barnardo's and many more.
Speaking about the return of the pop-up festive shop, CEO of Cards For Good Causes, Cherry Whiteside, said:
“We can’t wait to open our doors again this year, all thanks to the support of the Marlborough community!
“If you’re looking for Christmas cards and gifts that give back, we have a fantastic selection available for you to purchase, all whilst supporting the charities of your choice.”
Make sure you don’t hang around though, as the pop-up shop will only be in Marlborough for the festive season.
