A Wiltshire town is gearing up for Christmas with plans for days of live music, entertainment and festive fun.
Chippenham’s Christmas lights switch-on is due to attract large crowds to the town centre on Saturday, December 2, and a host of activities will be on offer.
The main stage is set to host the Santa’s Babes band, Chippenham Rock Choir and other local bands before this year’s festive lights are turned on.
An artisan market will also be in place in the High Street while a vintage market will be held in the Yelde.
A snow globe and performances from the Chippenham Town Band at the Buttercross will also add to the “sparkly atmosphere".
This will be followed by a Christmas Light Experience on Island Park in Monkton Park, delivered by Melt Productions, which will run from Thursday, December 14 to Sunday, December 17.
Alongside the lights will be a schedule of Festive Fringe entertainment including live music, comedy, cabaret, and cinema screenings.
Visitors will be able to enjoy the show from the wooden Roundhouse, a heated structure, and will be able to buy refreshments from the Apres Ski Bar.
Chippenham Town Council says all events will be on a first come first served basis.
