A recently closed car dealership on a major Wiltshire route is now under the protection of a security firm after being fenced off.
The Islington Vauxhall garage, just off the A4 Bath Road into Chippenham, permanently closed earlier this year and the brand has since stripped the former dealership of all its fittings.
Shortly after the dealership’s closure, fencing was erected at the site, warding off any potential intruders, and a security firm has now confirmed it is protecting the vacant unit.
In late October security solutions company W.R.S Security plastered posters over the fencing, which had been put up several weeks ago, advertising that they were now in charge of guarding the site.
Vauxhall had sold a range of new and used vehicles at the branch, prior to its closure, and also offered services, MOTs, and parts for all makes and models.
At this point, the future of the unit remains unclear with no plans for any potential new occupants made public.
W.R.S Security’s website says the firm is a leading specialist provider of security services across the UK, and has been since 2009.
