Two men have been arrested for drug offences following police patrols.
Intelligence given to Wiltshire Police led them to believe that a vehicle in Melksham may have been involved in the distribution of Class A drugs.
They then stopped the vehicle and found a “substantial amount of suspected Class A drugs” inside.
The vehicle can be seen in an image supplied by Wiltshire Police and appears to be a silver Corsa.
One of the men was in his twenties and the other was in his thirties, they were both arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug.
They then searched an address in Melksham which was linked to the vehicle and found more suspected Class A drugs.
The driver of the vehicle was charged with driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence and for using a motor vehicle on a road or public place without insurance. The vehicle was also seized during the incident.
The men were caught following proactive patrols carried out by the Team 4 Community Policing Team.
Both men were bailed for the drugs offences while the investigation continues. The driver is set to appear in court at a later date.
