Roads in Swindon’s town centre and around its outskirts will be partly closed so that work can be carried out in the coming days.

County Road will be closed to traffic between Numbers 148 and 152 from November 15 to 17 so Thames Water can carry out work.

Traffic will be diverted via Bathurst Street and Rosebery Street.

A few hours of Thames Water work will close Corporation Street at the junction with Armstrong Street from 7.30pm to 10.30pm on November 14.

Traffic will be diverted via Corporation Street, Manchester Road, and Alfred Street.

Another round of work from the utility company will close the alleyway to the rear of Manchester Road between Salisbury Street and Gladstone Street from November 6 to 9.

Openreach works will suspend the bus lane on the A4259 Marlborough Road and prohibit entry into Day House Lane from A4259 Marlborough Road from 8pm on November 9 to 6am on November 10.

Traffic will be diverted via Coate roundabout, A4259 Marlborough Rd to Commonhead Roundabout, B4192, Medbourne Lane, Meadow Way.

More Openreach work will close Vicarage Road in Highworth to traffic at the junction with the A361 Westrop from 7am to 7pm on November 14.

Traffic will be diverted via Sheep Street, Cherry Orchard, High Street, A361 Westrop.

Thames Water works will close Draycot Lane in Chiseldon at the junction with Norris Close from November 13 to 24.

Traffic will be diverted via B4005 New Road, Marlborough Road, The Ridgeway and vice versa.

Further Thames Water work in Wanborough will close Rotten Row between Orchard Close and College Gardens from November 8 to 11.

Traffic will be diverted via Kite Hill, Church Road, the un-named road between Church Road and Callas Hill/ High Street Junction, and High Street.

Openreach work will be carried out on King Edwards Road between the junctions of Ham Road and the Ridgeway from November 13 to 15.

Traffic will be diverted via Ham Road, Church Road, Callas Hill, and the Ridgeway.

More Openreach work will close The Marsh at the junction with Burycroft from 9.30am and 3.30pm on November 9.

Traffic will be diverted via High Street, Church Road, Packhill, The Marsh and vice versa.

In Wroughton, Thames Water will close Markham Road between Number 8 and the junction with School Lane from November 20 to 22.

Traffic will be diverted via Wharf Road and High Street.

Thames Water will also work on Broad Street between Numbers 50 and 58 from November 20 to 22.

Traffic will be diverted via the rest of Broad Street.

Yet more Thames Water work will close Elmina Road outside Number 72 from November 13 to 15.
