Work is ongoing at a prominent village pub which has closed for almost two months during a major refurbishment.
The Northey Arms in Box temporarily closed its doors on Sunday, October 8, for renovations which staff described as “much anticipated.”
Since then, the car park of the pub and hotel has been gated off, while work has been ongoing inside the venue.
The popular Butcombe Brewery pub will remain shut to customers until late November, with an exact reopening date not yet revealed at the time of writing.
In a message on their website, staff thanked customers for their patience and urged them to check their social media pages for updates.
“Thanks for your patience and support.”
Sharing the message on their Facebook page, they added: “There's some amazing plans in store and we can't wait to show you when we reopen in late November.”
The pub, rated five stars by the AA, currently houses 13 guest rooms and is known for its “great food and drink”.
Its sister pubs, the Methuen Arms in Corsham and The Quarrymans Arms at Box Hill, remain open.
