A national wine retailer is set to open a new store in a Wiltshire town after a four-year absence.
Majestic Wine will officially open their large new shop at Old Foundry, on Foundry Lane in Chippenham, on Tuesday, October 24.
The UK’s largest specialist wine retailer returns to the town four years after closing their old branch on New Road, which has since become a Salvation Army premises.
The large 4,775sq foot site will stock a wide range of more than 1,200 wines, as well as beers, spirits, soft drinks, and snacks.
Majestic Commercial will also be supplying local pubs, bars, and restaurants from the Chippenham site.
All 206 of the firm’s stores also offer home delivery.
Four new jobs have been created by the shop’s return.
The retailer’s CEO John Colley said: “Majestic are committed to growing our store footprint and have pinpointed more than 70 locations across the UK where we see an opportunity to expand.
“We identified Chippenham as one of those towns and are delighted to have found a perfect site on Foundry Lane.
"We are excited about returning to Chippenham, bringing our market-leading proposition back to the town, and helping old and new customers enjoy the Majestic experience with our qualified experts and award-winning wine ranges.”
