Police have caught several speeding drivers in the act after conducting checks outside two Wiltshire pubs.
Officers were spotted carrying out speed enforcement checks outside Silks on the Downs, on the A346 at Ogbourne St Andrew, on Friday, July 21.
On the same day, a similar operation was conducted next to the Waterfront Inn, on the A345 in Pewsey.
A total of 14 vehicles were slapped with notices of intended prosecution for excessive speeding at Ogbourne St Andrew during the checks.
Two of these motorists will be hit with a fine of £100 and receive three penalty points, while the other 12 will be offered speed awareness courses.
Across the day, the fastest driver was recorded as travelling at 44mph in the 30mph zone.
Meanwhile, in Pewsey, three vehicles were issued with notices for excessive speeding, with all three due to be offered a speed awareness course.
The speed limit on the main road is 40mph and the fastest vehicle was clocked at 48mph.
All punishments will be dependent on previous convictions and history.

A spokesperson for the force said: “Proceedings will now be undertaken to ensure the most appropriate outcome for the offenders takes place.
“This includes checking for MOT, insurance and point totters, and captured footage will be analysed for other offences like seat belts and mobile phone use.”
