Sheldon School in Chippenham have enjoyed some brilliant athletic performances in a range of competitions.
A total of 17 Sheldon students qualified to compete at the Wiltshire County Championships .
Just to get there is an achievement in itself, with all athletes qualifying by winning their area trials which involved all eight local schools.
From the Wiltshire County Championships Sheldon had 12 athletes qualify for the South West Competition which was held in Exeter in June - a record number for Sheldon.
At the South West Championships, the following students won their events and qualified to compete in the English Schools National Finals: Ciaran Merrett (Junior Boys Hammer), Adam Merrett (Inter Boys Hammer), Josh Maxwell (Inter Boys 1500m steeple chase), Harry Maxwell (Inter Boys 3000m), Otis Poole (Inter Boys High Jump) and Peter Krunity-Salako (Senior Boys High Jump).
Sheldon have never had six athletes compete at the English Schools' before.
Assistant head teacher Jude Owen said: "These athletes are now in the top 20 in the whole country for their event. The English nationals competition is actually one of the largest athletics competitions in the world for junior sport and we are incredibly proud of these pupils representing Sheldon there."
Meanwhile, Sheldon took more than 100 pupils to compete in the Area Athletics Championships at the University of Bath.
In 27C heat, there were some phenomenal performances with many students managing to record personal best times and distances when performing in front of the crowds.
Sheldon secured a top-three finish in 53 events.
Head of PE Holly Wainwright said: "What a team effort from all of the Sheldon athletes who competed. Their performances were outstanding and it was incredible and so fantastic to see!”
