A batch of former Ministry of Defence homes in Wiltshire have gone on the market after being deemed surplus to requirements.
The houses, off Pans Lane in Devizes, have been put up for sale by Annington and the first releases have been available to view since June 17.
Five homes were included in this first release, with the batch containing a total of 11 three-bedroom detached and semi-detached houses.
Annington has described the properties as ideal for downsizers and first-time buyers.
Damian Miah, the branch manager at local agent Allen and Harris, said: “We’re expecting a lot of interest for these properties, which offer the perfect balance of affordability, location, and scope for improvement.
“Devizes’ property market remains a real pocket of activity, and with just a handful of homes available to buy within the first release, we’re expecting to receive a lot of interest from prospective buyers.”
Annington became one of the UK’s largest private residential property owners by purchasing almost 60,000 homes from the Ministry of Defence.
While most of these are leased back to the government department, a significant number deemed unneeded have been refurbished and made available for sale on the private market.
Prices for three-bedroom semi-detached homes will start at £225,000.
