A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm to a 12-year-old in a Wiltshire park.
The 14-year-old boy, who is from Royal Wootton Bassett, was identified and brought into custody after an incident in Katherine Park, Corsham, on the evening of June 2.
He has since been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries.
Working with their partner agencies, police have also determined the victim of the unreported attack was a 12-year-old.
The exact time of the incident is not known, as it was not reported at the time, but officers are continuing to investigate and have encouraged any witnesses to come forward.
A spokesperson for the force said: “The Corsham Neighbourhoods Team are appealing for witnesses after an incident occurred in Katherine Park.
“The team are now appealing for any witnesses or anybody that may have any CCTV, particularly residents in Bethel Road who we are asking to check any ring doorbells or CCTV to see if the suspect has gone past their property.
