A large amount of cash has been stolen after a break in at a Wiltshire supermarket.
Two men were spotted forcing open the front door of the Co-Op store in Queens Crescent, Chippenham, at around 11.40pm on Wednesday, June 14.
After breaking into the shop on Conway Road, they remained in the building for approximately two minutes before making off with three cash cassettes.
Police say these contained a “large amount of cash.”
Officers have launched an investigation into the incident and are urging any witnesses to come forward.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Detectives are investigating a break in at a Co-Op shop in Chippenham. Enquiries are ongoing.
“We’d urge anyone who witnessed the incident, or anyone with information to call 101 and quote crime reference number 54230062517.
“Alternatively, call CrimeStoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
