Two people were rescued by fire crews after a one-car crash left them trapped in their vehicle on Saturday morning.
The single vehicle crash on the A345 at Clench Common left two occupants trapped in their car and the road was closed in both directions while emergency services rushed to help.
Fire crews from Pewsey and Swindon arrived at the scene at around 11.20am.
They were able to stabilise the vehicle and cut out the two passengers using Holmatro cutting equipment.
The ambulance service was also in attendance and cared for the occupants after their extraction.
The road had been closed by police between Marlborough and Oare while rescue attempts were ongoing, and motorists were urged to seek alternative routes.
Police have now issued an update confirming the road has reopened and is running normally again.
