MasterChef judge John Torode is set to headline a food and drink festival in Wiltshire this summer.
The BBC judge and presenter tops the bill of professional chefs flocking to Monkton Park for the annual two-day Chippenham Food and Drink Festival, alongside Bake Off finalist Chigs Parmar and TV chef Rosemary Shrager.
The festival will take place from Saturday, July 8, to Sunday, July 9, and offers locals 12 free chef demonstrations, including three celebrity chefs, as well as multiple wine talks and tastings, masterclasses, live music and street theatre.
Those hoping to pick up tips and tricks from John in the chef’s kitchen theatre can do so from 1pm to 2pm on the Saturday.
He said: “I’ve always loved cooking. It was a thing I felt very comfortable doing. You can hide away in the kitchen and it’s a great place to find yourself.
“I like to feed people. I like to see people smile. When you cook for people, it’s giving. There’s a lot of you in food – and a lot of love.”
Meanwhile, 2021 Bake Off star Chigs will take to the stage from 12pm to 12.45pm on Sunday, closely followed by former I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here contestant Rosemary at 1pm.
Day tickets are currently on sale online and are available for £8.
