A forensics team were on scene at an abandoned Wiltshire pub on Thursday after a cannabis factory was discovered inside.
Police revealed that they discovered the operation at The Unicorn in Bath Road, Melksham, at around 10.15pm on Tuesday, March 14.
Officers arrived at the pub after a report of a suspected burglary at the address, but instead found a cannabis factory.
A police cordon remained in place on Wednesday while the electricity board worked to ensure the scene was safe.
On Thursday morning a forensics team was in attendance as the police investigation continued.
The entrance to the pub was still cordoned off by the electricity board.
On Wednesday, a spokesperson for the force said: “A cannabis factory has been discovered at an abandoned pub in Melksham.
“Officers were called to the Unicorn public house in Bath Road at approximately 10.15pm on Tuesday, March 14, following an initial report of a suspected burglary at the address.
“Officers remain in attendance at the pub while a cordon is in place and the electricity board make the scene safe.”
