A new authentic Turkish food stall has opened in Trowbridge to add to the town’s growing reputation for great takeaways.
The family-owned Beytish Kitchen opened in the Castle Place Market Hall on Monday, March 13 to offer authentic Turkish food for breakfast and lunch.
The name Beytish comes from the family’s tribal name. They are originally from the Kurdistan area of southeastern Turkey.
The family comprises Ishak Ozdilek, 51, his wife Nazli, 50, an their two daughters Zekiye, 34, and Arife, 25, and son Muhammed, 22.
Arife said: “As a close-knit family we have always appreciated our mother’s cooking and we wanted to share that with the rest of the town.
“We have been looking for ideal premises and believe the Market Hall will be a great home for us.
“As a family we have been in the takeaway business for over 25 years so have plenty of experience.
“We are excited to share our mother’s cooking and flavours with the rest of Trowbridge and expand to our family business.
“Our first day open has been a great success. We have been overwhelmed with kind customers and visitors.”
Mr Ozdilek senior also runs the Pizza Kebab World restaurant in Brislington, Bristol.
