Wiltshire motorists are facing 20 closures to key roads in the coming weeks, with some causing expected delays of up to 30 minutes.

The closures are being carried out by National Highways and will affect several motorways and A-roads.

Two closures are expected to cause moderate delays which would see drivers facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, can be viewed below.

Continued Closures

• A36, from 9am February 27 to 3pm March 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Brassknocker Hill to Limpley Stoke - 24hr two-way signals for inspection/surveys.

• A36, from 7am January 9 to 9pm March 11, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A36 both directions Standerwick Rudge Road to Marsh Road closed overnight, with traffic lights during the day for bridge repairs on behalf of Network Rail. Diversion: A350, A361 and vice versa.

• A36, from midnight, February 11 to 11pm September 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Salisbury to Whiteparish used by GWR Railway Replacement Buses on Salisbury to Southampton route.

• A36, from midnight, March 4 to 11pm October 29, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Cotley Hill Roundabout to St Pauls Roundabout used by GWR Railway Replacement Buses on Warminster - Salisbury route.

• M4, from 9am January 29 to 4pm November 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 17 exit slip lane closure for roundabout widening scheme.

• M4, from 10pm January 29 to 4pm November 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 both directions, junction 17 exit slip roads 40mph speed limit for roundabout widening scheme.

• A4, from midnight, December 19, 2022, to 11pm November 23, 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4, junction 16 to 17 and A4 Bath used by GWR Railway Replacement Buses on Swindon - Bristol Temple Meads and Bristol Temple Meads - Westbury routes.

• A36, from midnight, December 19, 2022, to 11pm November 23, 2023, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Bath to Warminster used by GWR Railway Replacement Buses on Bristol Temple Meads - Frome route.

• A34, from midnight, February 1 to 11.59pm December 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): abnormal Load - Swansea to Southampton.

• M4, from 11.59pm April 27, 2021, to midnight, July 31, 2024, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4, junction 17 to 16 eastbound, 24hr hard shoulder closure for carriageway defect repair.

• A36, from 9pm March 9 to 6am March 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Castle roundabout, Salisbury lane closure for electrical works.

• M4, from 9pm March 9 to 6am March 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 18 lane closure for electrical works.

• M4, from 9pm March 13 to 6am March 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 both directions, junction 18 to 17 lane closures for electrical works.

• A36, from 9.30am to 3.30pm on March 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 Wilton multiway traffic lights in place for BT works.

• M4, from 8pm March 14 to 6am March 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 14 to 15, lane closure for inspections.

• A303, from 8pm March 17 to 6am March 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 westbound, Thruxton to Parkhouse Corner, lane and exit slip road closure for Hampshire County Council works, diversion via National Highways and local Authority network.

• A36, from 9.30am to 3.30pm on March 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 both directions South newton. 2-way signals for Openreach works.

• A303, from 8pm March 20 to 6am March 29, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A303 both directions Furze Hedge (A350) to Deptford (A36) carriageway closure. Includes closure of A303 eastbound, entry slip from the A36 northbound. For resurfacing. Main diversion via A350 and A36. Deptford eastbound, entry slip diversion via A36 northbound, U-turn at Cotley Hill Roundabout to access A303 via the alternative eastbound, entry slip from the A36 southbound.

• M4, from 8pm March 20 to 6am March 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M4 westbound, junction 14 to 15, lane closure for inspection works.

• A36, from 8pm March 20 to 6am April 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A36 both directions Stoford to Stapleford. Two-way signals for inspection/survey.
